my 3 year old daughter is a very good secret keaper. she bought me a mother's day gift. i kept bugging her about wanting to open it early and asking her what it was and so on. so this morning i said it's mother's day can i open it now. and she didn't beleive me. she wouldn't give it to me. she thought i was bugging her again. so it took like 10 minutes to convince her it really was mother's day. anyway i got a beautiful windchime glass angel.

Awww it sounds like you already have your angel in your daughter. My daughter is an angel also she is coming on so well. This morning there was a little baby girl on the floor in Church anyway she was coughing and sneezing this other baby so my little girl went and saw a tissue on the seat and took it and went to wipe her face with it. My daughter is only 15 months old and she is already being a nurse, lol!

How sweet, she really can keep a secret!! I have to deal with the opposite, when its xmas or my kids birthdays they are always hounding me as to what we have bought them. It does take all my will power to not give in and tell them, especially when they pin me to the floor!!LOL

my daughter last christmas bought me a few things at the dollar store. it was so funny cause i bugged her for weeks to tell me and she never said a word. the if i'd go get them from under the tree to shake them she'd start yelling at me. (sounds like i'm the kid here, lol) it ended up every time i'd walk into the room that the tree was in she'd be running over to see if i was going to touch anything and she'd tell me to stay out of that room. she's so funny. and i'm the complete oposite. i buy gifts ahead of time for special ocassions and end up giving them to her early cause i can't keep a secret.

I've done this too and then end up spending more money. I have often been told off by my mum for giving in and telling my kids. Now she is cautious when telling me what she has bought them and makes me swear I will not let the cat out of the bag. When I do resist I feel so proud of myself!!LOL I'm glad to hear I am not the only one, we obviously need to learn from our children how to keep things a secret!!

How very sweet. Also very intelligent. Didn't I read in another post that she is only 3 or 4? That is such a cute way to tease with her and bond with her! You are quietly teaching her the value of being able to keep a secret and keep things to yourself when need be! What a wonderful little girl you have!

Hi poppoppop, That was so sweet of your daughter. It's also good to see that she really can keep a secret if she needs too! My daughter is only 11 months old so she's a little young for that, but my friends son can't keep a secret to save his life. He is now 14, but he hasn't been a secret keeper all his life, same with his mother so that's probably why. A lot of kids learn by example so I'm constantly making sure I'm doing things the right way in front of my daughter.

Well, how sweet!!! That's really impressive that she could keep that a secret for so long. MY children, even the 14 year old next door) can't wait to tell me what my gifts are. I've been a mom for 8 years now, and have YET received a surprise gift! LOL! give your little one a hug from me, and tell her good work for mommy's day!:)

Thats funny and cute! I bug my boys too, so they know how excited I am, but luckily my 7 year old knew it was the right day! He made me a paper mache vase with fake flowers and a big card, and my 5 year old made me a laminated placemat and a pot holder. LOVE the stuff. So great, and I love that they make it :)

hahaha.. i think it's really funny to convince a 3 years old kid to believe you that it's mother day.. and i think it's okay for her not to believe you.. well.. small kids.. so.. are you happy with that present? baha.. to be frank with you.. i didn't give anything to my mother.. and it's simply because i don't have the time to go back hometown.. i really hope so.. but i'm currently having my final exams now.. and i think i might get her something later on.... anyway.. happy mother days to you too.. i think it's really wonderful to have a 3 year old daughter to give you a present =)..

haha..thats so funny. Kids are so cute that way. Since you were bugging her for the gift for so long, she must have assumed you were trying another of your tactics. Kids are smart nowadays:)

Aww your daughter seem so smart and adorabable... How did she managed to buy the gift? She probably thought you were bugging her again about the gift, or maybe she's just making you really excited by not giving you the gift easily.:) Belated Happy mother's day to you. I got for Mother's Day is a Gallon of Ice Cream and a Song from my 2 year old son.
