Pastels on emory cloth - The Watchtower

This is a landscape it did in pastels on emory cloth. Emory cloth is used for fine sanding, as in an auto body shop. It has LOTS of tooth and grabs the pigment, making the colors very vibrant.
Has anyone else ever worked on emory cloth? It is available at the hardware store!This is one of the first paintings I ever sold.

Wow, that's a really great painting. I admire your talent. I would love to have the talent such as yours but unfortunately, no matter how I try, I can't.
That's why I took on photography. I figured if I can't capture it on paint, then I'll do it in film.

Thanks. Photography is a graphic art, too. I think everyone has some kind of artistic talent, but most go untapped.
