Do you use an alarm clock to wake yourself up every morning?

Or does your significant other get you up? or do the kids come running in asking for their breakfast? or are the birds chirping loudly in the mornings? If I have a scheduled appointment then I use the alarm clock on my cell phone to wake me up, if not, then I tend to sleep in and my son wakes me up when he wants to eat. Usually my hubby has to get up early anyway for work so I tend to get up with him and make breakfast for us if I'm not too tired LOL

Sounds like your body clock works very well, mine seems to be broken at the moment and I tend to wake up at odd hours, especially since my husband is away overseas LOL

i always use my cellphone as my alarm in the morning. But sometime, before it rings, i already awake. And maybe because i always wake up in the same time ( around 6.30), sometime i dont need an alarm. I'll wake myself. It happend and happens over and over. So,i think my alarm is just in case i didn't awake

"But sometime, before it rings, i already awake." * Hey, that actually happened to me, too, most especially when I'm not over fatigued. I don't know why but, like, three minutes before the alarm clock screams, I'm already awake. But well, really need my alarm clock when I'm over fatigued. :)

Yes I do - if I need to wake up. Like I have things to do that requires waking up early or definitely, or if I have an appointment to see to. Otherwise I will sleep till probably the sky roof falls. Then I may perhaps wake - if I have not got too comfortable beneath my blanket. :P

I havent used an alarm clock in many years. My mobile phone does a much better job as it has a snooze button and gives me another ten minutes for as many times as I use it until I finally switch it off when I get up.

My husband is the one who wakes me up and I usually get up myself around 7:00 am. My daughter when she goes to college, she uses the alarm clock to wake her up. I wake up my son.

No no, I don't use my alarm clock to wake me up. Tha biological clock works just fine. Only when I have to wake up at very odd hour, I use my mobile alarm.

On days when I have an important appointment early in the morning I use my alarm clock. Otherwise I let my dogs wake me up. They wake me much more gentil and they have a built in clock, too. They tell me they want to go outdoors and that is the easiest way to get me out of bed.

I use my cellphone alarm on a daily basis to get up for school. Unfortunately I've grown so accustomed to it that when the alarm actually starts ringing, it seems I sleep walk to it and turn it off, then go back to sleep. I wake up with an adrenaline rush 5 minutes later, thinking I woke up late. Occasionally my cats wake me up at 5 AM because they're hungry; they literally step all over me.

I've done that on occasion where i have turned it off, say to myself 5 more minutes and go back to sleep, then when I awake it ends up being 30 minutes later and I'm rushing all around the place to get ready and out the door. Thanks for your response hachimitsu!

When I am at home in Canada I use an alarm clock to wake me up, but when I am here in the States my fiance usually wakes me up before he goes to work. Sometimes I go back to sleep after he leaves, at which point I'll set the alarm in my cellphone to wake me up a cuple of hours later.

If it is a school day I usually use the alarm on my mobile to make sure that we do not sleep in but otherwise I don't worry - the kids or the phone will usually wake me up before it gets too late! lol As for getting up with my other half when he is on an early shift and making breakfast - that is a big no no - he usually leaves before 6am! xx

Hi mummymo. My son starts kindergarten in September and even though both of us are excited, I am trying to get the practice in now for waking up early LOL we both tend to sleep in a lot longer than others and only rise if we have something to go to. Now I have to get my son in the habit of getting up before 7 or thereabouts. Thanks for posting :)

I remember those days - and now the schools are on holiday we can have long lies again and it is bliss! You do get used to getting up but when you get the chance for a long lie - take it! lol xxx
