As many of you know my family has a three year old terrorist called Guinness

Guinness, the hunter at rest - Here he is Guinness the bain of wildlife in my district. We dont know how he did it, but yesterday he surpassed himself, bringing home a fully grown mallard duck as well as a rabit. He will sleep all day now as he also spent last night out on the tiles, probably celebrating
blessed be

My cat Guinness has a very strong personality, not only does he treat my home like a hotel, calling in only to be fed once in a while, he also has a hunting drive. Well yesterday, he went far beyond experience and expectations, he subdued, killed and dragged home a fully-grown malard duck. Well, it came as a hell of a shock, both kids watched him dragging something twice his size across the field. Eventually he pulled it in through the cat flap into my kitchen, left it on the floor, miowed at me, turned round and went out again. After about a hour he returned with a rabbit and did the same thing. Now, ive heard of cats killing mice and the odd garden bird, but never game. Whats the most bizare thing your cat has brought home?

Mallard ducks and rabbits! Wonder what he was in a last life. My ex. was "very" passionate about out pets and we had a manx cat who was always hunting. I could never stop my wife wrestling with him trying to save a bird. I used to think it was more cruel than letting the cat have the bird that once in his powerful paws was usually mortally wounded anyway. I have never known such a powerful cat. He'd went out one day and came back 3 days later covered in tar. We was licking himself and throwing up everywhere. The vet just advised a bath of fair liquid. It took all my strength to hold him down, he was growling like a lion, he soaked the two of us from head to foot and covered my hands in scratches through some thick rubber gloves. His other claim-to-fame was to pinch chicken off your fork while eating it. Like lightening he would leap from the floor and rarely miss. And one more thing.. He love grapes of all things. So there it is, a grape-loving cat who thought he was a lion. His name - Leo. He got that name before he started acting like a lion - he probably understood and tried to live up to that name. :-)

Sorry, that should have been "fairy liquid" not "fair" liquid" - not that Leo thought it very fair!

they certainly bring endless enjoyment to life. When guinness was a few weeks old he climbed a lamp post and sat terrified at the top, he had to be fetched down by ladder 5 hours later. In view of his later activities, i do wonder if this was a reconicence mission blessed be

My cat bought home a prized coy carp!! We couldn't tell our n'bours I was so ashamed!! They (whoever 'they' are) say that they are doing it as a presnet for you...my cats obviously don't pay much attention to me because if they did they would know the very last thing I would like as a present is a carp... why couldnt they bring me diamonds or pearls.. or a new car?!!!

we have had many cats since i can remember, but i think i haven't encountered a cat like yours. hunting animals that are bigger than he is. most of our homegrown cats just hunt mice that is almost as big as them but not as big as a duck and as sweet as a rabbit. it would be devastating to see that.. i wouldn't like to see my cat doing that.

How funny, my cats currently are not allowed outside, they are both fixed and declawed and are only meant to be loved and spoiled indoors, but at one time I did have a black cat that was a wonderful hunter, he loved the birds, black birds were his choice and he would bring me home, just about daily a bird head or bird body to my doorstep. This would upset my downstairs neighbor since he had parrots in her house and would see bird feathers everywhere. I am told this is a GIFT that they bring us cause they love us so much.

i hate cats... anyone seen discovery wild cats??.... did you know... there are 1300 species of birds and fishes.... that are extinct simply because house cats were brought very near to them... and house cats simply killed them for fun and then ate only one out of five killed.... cats are mean... they only look cute... but they are the meanest creatures alive...

Blimey, i guess at least it's a sign Guinness really loves you to go to such effort to kill large animals, since although we may find it alarming all he's really doing is brining you a present. My cat is an indoor cat so doesn't bring us anything. We have found a chewed up spider though...

My cat is an indoor cat because she's a rescue cat, but I've heard many stories about my partner Mothers cats lol. One of them also once brought home a baby rabbit. He'd killed it, but not eaten any of it, then dragged it home and left it on the doorstep as a "gift" lol. Another time he was also seen killing a grass snake. God only knows where he found it. My cat however, managed to get to the birds that I had in a cage, on a cage stand. She managed that while I was in bed, and I woke up to a fine old mess with feathers everywhere. There was no point in scolding her because she was only doing what cats do. She even brought me the body of my male, dropped it at my feet and wound herself round my legs purring her head off while I tried valiantly not to heave.
