I really love that song by Lenny kravitz, one of my all time favorites, Did you notice that in that song he says "I got to get away, I got to fly away", almost referring to his other song "Fly away", kinda nice now that I think of that.

yes, there is a part of the song in american woman but i didn't think he was refering to his another song "Fly Away" since it has a different riff /melody. I also like "Are you gonna go my way"

Really? I mean.. If you look at the two words "fly away" they are not that common so I think he did hinted something.. maybe they're side by side in his album or something?

based on the lyrics, American woman, I said get away American woman, listen to what I say don't come hanging around my door Don't want to see your face no more I don't need your war machines I don't need your ghetto scenes Colored lights can hypnotize Sparkle someone else's eyes Now woman, get away American woman, listen to what I say American woman, stay away from me American woman, mama let me be I gotta go I gotta get away Think I gotta go I wanna fly away I'm gonna leave you woman (4 x) Bye bye, bye bye Bye bye, bye bye American woman You're no good for me I'm no good for you Looking at you right in the ey Tell you what i'm gonna do I'm gonna leave you woman .... Even from the beginning of the song till the end, it's telling us either she leaves him alone or he leaves her alone, so fly away is about going away. So it didn't really pass my mind
