I saw Chris Daughtry!!! LIVE

I am an American Idol fan solely because of Chris Daughtry.
For years I used to think that the show and all the hype it receives was kind of silly. I would watch the funny auditions for the first couple of weeks but then loose interest during Hollywood week.
That is until last year when I heard Chris Daughtry's audition and I was hooked!!!! I have been disappointed this year because I haven't liked anyone as much as I liked him.
We saw him this weekend performing at an outdoor concert in our area. He is a fantastic performer. If you get a chance to see him in your area, I recommend it. Even if you are not much of a rock fan, he is entertaining enough that it will just be a nice evening out for you.
He comes across very genuine and sincere as if it amazes him to be paid to do what he loves. His band is really great too. He made the right choice sticking with them and not moving on to an already big name band. The gel quite nicely. I hope he goes far in his career. He deserves it.

Oh my- I’m with you- My favorite Idol so far is Chris Daughtry! Even though he didn’t win- I think it is probably a good thing he didn’t. There is no one like him this year- or even close. I would love to see him in concert- I heard he puts on small concerts in smaller venues not the bigger ones. I’m good with that- Less people to have to look over- I bet his concert was amazing! I’m going to keep my eyes open to see if he comes to my neck of the woods- Glad you had a great time!

Definitely see him if you get a chance. You won't regret it. I am sure that some day he will fill large concert arenas but I LOVED seeing him in a festival setting, sitting on the lawn, very laid back.
I have been very hard on all the American Idol contestants this year because I don't think any of them have come close to being "Daughtry". LOL

I have never watched "American Idol"....although I have seen some of the "hype" about it on the news and of course, hae read a few discussions on here about it....
While I actually prefer country music....I also enjoy good rock so if Chris Daughtry should happen to come close to where I live....I would be interesting in attending his concert....
I do have a great appreciation for musicians who are "real people" and do not thrive on their own name...if you know what I mean...
I am glad that you got a chance to see him, my friend...sounds like you had a wonderful time!

I am not your average American Idol fan myself. If I had not happened to hear Chris that one week I still would not be watching it.
We did have a wonderful time, thanks. Us and several thousand other people. I couldn't believe the turn out.

This sounds like it was a great concert. I would really love to go see him and his band myself. He is what got me hooked on American Idol also. I am really glad he was on American idol tonight singing. he did great.

I'm not a big fan of American Idol. But my kids love the show! I do listen to it when it's on. The only time I ever felt like calling in was when Chris Daughtry was on the show. I wish he would of won and no I never did call in. It's funny that his name came up today because for Mother's Day my kids bought me his CD, Daughtry. Awesome CD!

It is a great CD. I agree completely. We have been enjoying it a lot lately. What I nice Mother's Day gift.
