email inquiring if you are dead?

i recently received this stupid email from a friend of mine who was my previous work mate.He send the email before my birthday so i thought it was a birthday greeting. and since i haven't heard from him for such a long time i was so excited to read his mail.on the subject page it says hello so i wasn't prepared on what the content of the email message was. i was expecting it was the usual pleasant things how you miss each other and what latest happening in each ones life. as i proceed on reading the email content it says hello mate is it true that you are dead? please it me know.then signed his name in the end. after reading the message i was so furios with him that i replied this is a ghost replying to you and i said next time before you send me an upsetting email you could have text, call or live me an im messages in my yahoo.i didn't speak to him for a month.i don't know how friends can be stupid at times. what would you do if it happened to you?
