Have you ever tried to kill yourself ?

Well I value life too much to ever try that now but as a kid I had major problems and very low self-esteem. At age 5 I along with my three other brothers were left on the sidewalk to be collected by the Childrens Aid Society and then we were split up and put in seperate homes. To make it worse we could only see each other once or twice a year. I was put in home after home until I was so down I decided, at age 9 to just end it. Fortunately for me I chose a method that was rather painful and gave up in just a few minutes of trying. That cured me, if dying was that painful I guess I can live for a while longer. Eventually, at age 15 I ran away and started my own life.

I have never tried to kill myself. But, I do think it is selfish to do because there are people that love you and are going to hurt when you are gone. I had a friend in highschool that killed himself and it was such a hard experience.
