holiday celebrations

Cinco de Mayo just passed 9 days ago, it's a Mexican Holiday that is celebrated here with drinking and partying.
Back in March we celebrated St Patty's day with pub crawls and drinking and partying.
We call those drinking holidays, one day to go out and party.
They are nothing compared to the Germans. The Mexican's and Irish party for a day, the Germans do it right and take a whole month ... hurray for OctoberFest.

you are right about October Fest..I love it...here in Chicago we have German place running October Fest every yaer...but I was thinking to go to Germany for real October Fest....
I don't drink, but I like German potato salad...:)
