konica minolta z6 adapter ring

I have recently purchased an adapter ring for my konica minolta z6 and i also got a x2 tele lens. The problem is that when i zoom out with the adapter ring on the zoom lens goes some threads. when i screw on the tele lens and zoom out you can here the zoom hitting the tele lens, i do not see any difference looking through the camera, maybe because i cannot extend the zoom to full length. Does anyone think that maybe the adpter ring is wrong or the tele lens.
