I knew there are several budget airlines operating in the US and Australia. In Asia, the business is blooming like mushroom after rain. Recently, Tigerairways, a Singapore budget airline offering a S$1.00 ticket price that goes to certain part of Thailand, China, Indonesia and also to Australia. This price does not include the taxes and fuel charge. They offer such a low price for the ticket. How do they pay their Pilot? It kind of good offer and very tempting. Do you think that it is safe to travel via this budget airlines?. Does there any catch behind it? Anyone experience before, please share.

no, i don't think it's safe enough from what i heard here, such airlines use a mixture of water in the fuel imagine if the plane is 5000 feets high, and suddenly the engine is out of power due to the fuel aaaaagh, such a nightmare i think it would be better if we spent more money for a higher price but safety guaranteed

My advise is.. always at the fine print. Asia Air has such offers sometimes too but they limit the numbers of seat. If you are one of the lucky ones, then the fare is really yours, but most times when you call, they would say such seats are all taken up and instead they would offer some other seats instead. I'm sure it is safe to travel via this budget airlines. I don't think they would compromise safety in place of pricing. After all they have their own crew to look after as well. Whatever it is, I would suggest you checking up with the airlines on any extra charges or "catch". Ask lots of questions and I'm sure you'll be fine :)
