If say you loved one betrayed you or has given up on you and left you. would you ever give them a second chance. I have experience this dilema oh so many times in the span of 5 years and two relationships. I have always given people a second chance, but they always disappoint me, in the end Im the only one hurt in the process. The bible says love is patient, its never jealous nor selfish. But following these make you stupid sometimes so what would you do? Be a good lover or be a good lover of yourself?

Love is a neverending saga of trust, respect, and forgiveness. For me as long as you love that person, second chance is not enough. To continue to forgive and forgive and forgive is one gift of LOVE. I know that its really hard to forgive someone, because its common for us human to have this feelings to get even when someone did something wrong to us. I myself often feel that. It hurts to think when you just let them (people who trespass you) walk away. What I learned is that it's really hard for us, that we can't forgive people alone. That we have to pray and ask for graces to let us forgive them. As the bible say, Without God, we are nothing.

Indeed, forgiveness is easy to say but hard to give away, I have such a problem with totally forgiving a person I might give them another chance but the pain of what they did is still with me.

Sorry to hear that you got burned twice but I think you know your lesson for next time and what you should do!!! For me, I don't give second chances in romantic relationships, friendships- maybe, depends what the friend did. Life is too short to be with someone who broke your heart or faith or trust(whatever they did), there are billions of people out there..you can't tell me that those 2 people who you have been dealing with, are the only 2 people in the world who you felt was good enough to be with!! You deserve better, nobody deserves to be with someone who can't respect them or the relationship that they are in!!! Love is patient but maybe why you didn't find it with them b/c you were forcing it with them, you wanted love to be there in those relationships but it just wasn't! I have been down that road, being inlove with the idea of love..making more out of the situation than what is really there!! Good luck though..its all a trial and error process and our experiences equal knowledge:)
