need a new laptop??

how many of you are using laptops and how many of you are thinking about buying a new one?? i would like to mention some points for those people who want to buy a new laptop.
1) battery backup: this is probably the most important thing for a laptop. whoever be the manufacturer please make it clear before buying a new one.
2) weight: another vital thing. light weighted laptops are always preferable. we prefer laptops due to its portability.
3) over heating problem: check it very carefully. if your laptop will suffer from this problem that will create a hell lot of problem for you.
4) processor speed: another need for first computing, depending on what do you want to do with your system.
5) configuration: like motherboard, hdd, ram etc as per your necessity.
thats all about i need to mention here. if you think i have missed any vital point ,please mention it here and let me know that.

i just bought a brand new 'Acer' laptop.which is aspire 5050 series.i recommend acer if you are a budget conscious buyer because acer come with all features like wi-fi,dual layer dvd writer,duo core processor with 64 bit,and many more feature comparatively cheaper than any other brand.
my acer config is AMD turion 1.6GHz Duo core 64,1GB DDR2 RAM,ATI 1100 Gfx with PS2.0,Dual layer DVD writer,120GB HDD,wi-fi,card reader,bth,integrated WEB CAM. and the price difference compared to other brand is about 8-10000 INR!ie it cost 42000 INR.
although battery backup is only 2 hr because of AMD processor.and also it weighs 2KG
if you looking for performance gofor sony vaio!sony vaio is best performance laptop among all lap!

thanks a lot for your response. i have my previous experience to work with acer. now i am using hcl and thinking about lenovo as i like it's biometric security feature. anyway your laptop has a very good configuration..
