Have you ever dreamt you've been involved in accidents or anything scarry? What do you do? Dismiss it as a bad dream? Or treat it as a weird psychic premonition and avoid all travelling. Last year I had a dream seeing my father in his best suit asking me to prepare his staff month end salary as he was going on a vacation. That time my dad was in hospital after suffering from a stroke. After a week of being hospitalised he passed away. I remembered my dream, it had been a premonition.

Yes, I always dream that I am going back to work..at my old jobs...and it is not a happy dream..as i retired a year ago i dream often of working in a very dirty environment and work goes badly and I am always hating my jobs...but just yesterday I was offered to go to work IN chicago assembly working for Ford @ less money then I was making about half..but maybe these premnitions is about that I should stay away from going back to my old work environment? well, i don't think I will go back to work..as I am getting Social security plus a pensions..but it is tempting to get away from my wife and live awhile as a single guy..lol..but I don't think I could do the job..as they would probably give me a bad job..just like in my dreams.. Is this a premonitions? or just whistful thinking?

Dreams can have deep meaning. We will not know whether it is a premonition unless you go ahead with it and if it does comes true then you can conclude that you had a premonition in your dream. Maybe taking your retirement seriously is only the best thing to do. Why oh why do you want to be a single guy again?

when i worked at ford motor. i would go to many assembly and part plants out of town..but come home weekend. i was in Chicago over a year. sometimes my wife stayed with me..and we would site see and shop curing the day..i worked afternoons and nights. I would travel to Missouri and Kansas too. same thing..but mostly my wife stayed home and I would come home on weekends..She and I liked this as we had the both of both worlds..single and being married. The last two years I traveled but did not leave my home state..but Mon thru Fri i kept on the road going from Utica to Wayne, Mi..a lot of time on the roads..but I got paid mileage and had a lot of overtime.. I spend a lot of time with my wife..swimming and going to the park..but my wife will be going back to the Philippines to live without me for a while..this gives me a chance to be single again...and her too! You see what I mean.? I guess it not is for everyone..but we seem to like it..variety is the spice of life..but we don't cheat as fidelity is very important to our marriage...lots of married couples take separate vacations...it is so refreshing

Oh I see. Now I get you. Sometimes we need to have our own space once in a while. Maybe thats what make a marriage strong. I love to have this kind of arrangement. It just makes the heart grow fonder and come out fresh after a separate vacation.

Yes, I do believe in premonitions and dreams. Many people throughout history have had such dreams. How can a billion people be wrong! Once I heard a story about a young girl, who lived in Poland during the 1940's. She was standing by the train track in front of their home and her father came out and commanded her to put on her boots. She was about to argue with him that it was nice weather and she would prefer not to wear the heavy boots, but she didn't. Apparently, he had a premonition that trouble was on the way. Within the week her family had been sent to a concentration camp. And, she was sent to a labor camp where young women washed clothing and did hard work. It was freezing weather where she was sent. And, the boots saved her life. She said later, that many girls wearing summer style sandals suffered greatly. I have always believed that her father must have had a premonition or dream. I have kept that story close to my heart to remind me that dreams do hold clues about the future and to not ignore them. Be well!

I do believe that the girl's father had a premonition otherwise he would not have asked her daughter to put on the boots. This is one story worth taking into account.

I have had dreams that turned out to be premonitions, but none of them were scarey. Many years ago, I had applied for a teacher transfer to Adelaide. I had about 80 schools lists on my form. One night I dreamt that I had been transferred to a school, beginning with the letter "L". A few days later I was transferred to Lonsdale Heights School. When I first fell pregnant I was in Ireland, so no one from my family knew. I heard later, that my brother had a dream about me being pregnant, at exactly the same time.

In the last year, there has been four pregnancy's in my family. Each time, about 3 weeks before the Mom-to-be found out, my sister in law dreamed about someone close to her dying. Its weird, but I've heard that sometimes you reverse your dreams. Now when she dreams about someone dying, it either means a)someone is in danger, or b)someone is going to get pregnant(or already is, just hasn't found out yet.) Its pretty neat the way dreams work sometimes.

Some people dont believe in dreams and some people do. In your case, I think that your father was trying to tell you that he is going and not coming back.

People often have dreams or premonitions where someone they love is in danger.

yeah I have had many such dreams...I remember once I kept dreaming of blood al around me for around 3 days in a row and on the 4th day I fell over and hit myself on the bridge of my nose and I BLED SO MUCH THAT the carpets were all stained.. THe blood that I used to see all around me was a premonition of something that was going to happen... If I see a bad dream I do get scared thinking it as premonition but if those bad dreams have to come true then it comes true in a day or two..

When someone dreams about a specific event in detail and it happens, isn't that a warning in advance or whether it's just a coincidence.
