Do you get annoyed...

when your phone rings and nobody answers as soon as you say "hello?" - I have had three calls today and when I answered them, nothing, just silence and then the line goes dead. I hate that, it's so annoying. Does this happen to you?

I so hear ya on this one.....It really makes me mad that I have to go out of my way to answer the phone when I'm in the middle of doing something for there not to be anyone to respond on the other end. I think for me I am going to fix this problem and buy a cheap answering machine and let that deal with that =) I hope it ends soon for you for it is so annoying. Best of luck Stacy

Thanks Stacy. We do have an answer phone and usually I do let it take the messages but because I was expecting a call from my husband (who is away overseas) I answered them all. GRRR annoying so I think I'm going to look at getting caller ID. I'm not sure if we have this as part of our package. Thanks for the response!

YES! I hate it too. I get so frustrated at them that I don't even want to answer the phone when it rings any more. Why if someone is going to call us, is it not important enough to wait for us to answer or at least leave a message on the answering machine.

Oh yes, it can be irritating especially when I'm busy tending to a lot of things. It happened to me before many times. I decided to change my landline and hopefully this new number will stay with me for a long time.

That will depend on my mood prior to receiving the calls. I would probably get annoyed and save my full blast of anger as soon as I can shout into the phone.

Nowadays I have a rather jolly well temper. I just hang down the phone after 3 hellos when there is no response. If it is consecutive calls, I will not take the 3rd call after the 2nd one proves the same.

yeah, I used to get these kinda calls when I lived with my ex. So annoying especially when they come at like 2am. See once I left him they stopped, imagine that. it was all his little girlfriends. If you have caller id start screening your calls. I have a restricted number, thank God.
