I Am Sad About Jerry Falwell

I got breaking news online about his passing several hours ago and I am truely saddened. I know that most people want to take this opportunity to talk about his political stand and controversy, but I just want to remeber him from way back then. As soon as I told one of my friends about Jerry Falwell's passing, she started to mention the controversy. In truth, I don't know much about any of that. All I know is that when I was a little girl, we watched him. I don't remember anything particularly profound that he ever said, I just know that he had someone on his show that interpreted for the death and I thought, this is a pastor who wants to reach everyone. He is a part of the history of who I am. There seems to be a little recollection about the teleytubbies and I heard something about gays, but none of that should matter now that he is gone. I am sure that he will be sorely missed by many. I wanted to do this post for the people who liked him and not for those who want to bash, but I suppose, all are welcome to share their thoughts.
