I got this email from a miss Eva Jones, Anyways she goes on and on about a sob story , which states that her parents just died and her father (rich coco merchant) left 11.5 million dollars in a safety deposit box and would I be able to help her in recovering the money , for this I would be heavely compensated. I know she/he probably is a scam artist. Have any of you recived emails from Eva or anything similar ?

there are alot of these email scams going around they not only come through emails they are also circulating around through the regular mail, with checks being sent from fraudulent companies that don't exists, it is sad that people have to do this you just have to remember if it looks to good to be true it probably isn't true. just becareful and make sure to do a complete check on all these sites before you except anything or send anything to them.

Yes, I have recieved these and yes they are scams. we even had an article in our newspaper about it. Recently the ones we've been getting are from someone in Costa Rica. Usually they look official. There is a winning lottery one going around too from another country, can't remember which. you pay a fee to find out if you won. Of course I did not win, I did not enter. What a joke!!

I have received several emails in the past similar to this one.I can't remember the name of the individual but they were supposed to be dying with cancer. They also sent a picture along with the letter of an old woman in the hospital which was supposed to be this person.Anyway they went on to say they found my email address on a christian website and just knew if I received this money (which was millions of dollars)I would do the right thing with it.They wanted me to distribute it among churches in my area. They said they were going to get their lawyer to contact me via email and I would have to fill out some kind of application. It was just a bunch of mumbo jumbo.I emailed them back and let them know they were a scam and told them to leave me alone.Apparently it worked because its been a while since I received anything like that.

I just recived another scam email today this time from a Mr. Eric Peter, this guy claims to be a personal account manager for a late Norman R Frank and he has 35 million USD dollars in a bank safe. He goes on and requests that I send him an email with the following my full name , d.o.b,adress and telephone nummber , so we can make futher arrangements. He says that he will split the money 50/50. I wrote back saying something similar to the miss Eva Jones email.

I, too, have received similar emails...I just delete them and go on....too many scammers out there who just sit around thinking of new ways to suck you in and steal your money if they can....
Do not give her any information about you and do not send her any money...do not let her send you any traveler's cheques as they are probably counterfeit......you would be better off the just delete this email and save yourself any further concern with it!

I did reply I sent them an emial saying how disgusted I am with them and that I have sent the emial to the authories (FBI) and they assured me that they can find out the senders IP address. I hope that scares them a bit.

I would be very interested in knowing how to forward these types of emails to the FBI....can you share the address for them....I would love to have a stop put to these types of scams.....
It makes me so mad that people are subjected to this.....I would love to be able to do more to put an end to it if I could!!
Thanks for the idea of sending them to the FBI and I really would love the email address.

there was an article about this in reader's digest a few years back, and it showed how scammers, conmen, and the like even provide real-looking documentation for your so-called "money" that they would give in return for your investment. so i'd say stay away, better not risk it, and how would she know that YOU could help her recover her money? you don't even know each other right? like they say, there are conmen and conmen.

I didnt see the artical in readers digest but I did see a special on 20/20. Where they caught some guy from South Africa. I think Dr.Phil should do a special investigative show on it.

I have heard of some similar scams, but not that particular name and amount. How much money did she ask you to send? Or did she just want your bank info?
