I received an email from "@ e-gold.com" AccountRobot_donotreply, dated 15 May 2007 13:01:39 with subject "Notification of e-gold account Blocked!" This is the full message: X-Mailer: PHPmail Dear e-gold account holder, Access to your e-gold account has been temporarily disabled due to the number of incorrect login attempts. This has been done to secure your account and to protect your private information in case the login attemps were not done by you. Account access will remain disabled until this issue will be solved. If you are the rightful holder of the account, please click on the link bellow and log in to account as we tr to verify your identity. http://www.e-gold.com/acct/login.html?Unlock=code?EAA16F3D6........ We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate assistance in helping us maintain the integrity of the entire e-gold system. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please do not reply to this automatically generated email message. ======================================================= Note: I did not put the exact link to prevent Mylotters to click on it and visit the site which I'm sure a hoax. This email is definitely a HOAX since I can login to my account without problems. If you happen to receive this message, check first your E-gold account if indeed it was blocked. If it is, then contact the E-gold support, DO NOT click on the link on the email. It will lead you to a page which looks exactly the same as the E-gold login page that when you input your E-gold login details your account will be compromised. Please inform all your friends also about this to prevent this puny hackers from hacking E-gold accounts.

i haven't received any e-mails yet from e-gold. so far when i checked my e-gold acount it always has this message "that my ip address...blah..blah...and unable to login." i got tired accessing my e-gold with my own computer. but i was able to sell my e-gold recently using a computer in an internet cafe. honestly, i am hesitant to use my e-gold account again since there is an impending legal issue against them. i hope mylot would find an alternate processor online in lieu of e-gold specially for filipinos.

ok, but if you receive such email, delete it right away. on the ip address thing, maybe your internet service provider has a transparent proxy server that every time you browse you are automatically redirected to it. anyways, the legal issues of e-gold will be resolved soon hopefully. and yes, im hoping also that mylot will have other alternatives of paying their members.
