Would you be embarrised

My husband wants to nominate me for What Not to Wear. I don't know if I'd be embarrised. I know he just wants to nominate me so I can get pampered. He's not trying to insult me. At least I don't think he is. I would appreciate being on there. But what if I do really have a bad sense of style. Then I guess yeah I would be embarrissed. Would you be embarrissed or would you just be appreciative of being on the show?

some times our better halfs have a hard time helping us pick the right color or choice of clothing to wear. I have watched that show, sometimes all someone needs is a nudge or a suggestion. So to answer your question no I won't be embarrassed, its kinda of nice that he is paying attention and wants to make you feel better!! We all need pampering ever now and then, Right!

the women on that show do not get pampered; they get humiliated, and all too often the resulting clothes they end up in aren't all that nice or worth the embarrassment. Why would it be pampering to know that some self appointed queens can stand around making faces at articles of clothing you've worn in comfort and confidence, only to go pick out things you'd never feel comfortable in. the few times I watched it, I felt so badly for the poor women they victimized I couldn't stand it. If your husband wants to pamper you- and can't afford to buy you something nice, have him go to the library and get a book on masage. Buy a nice almond oil, and a scented oil to add to it, that you love, and gie you a massage. You'll feel wonderful and can return the favor. For under ten bucks.

wow someone's a little bitter. Don't judge my husband on how he thinks of me. What I meant by it is, you get a whole new style on the show. I haven't had my hair down in a long time. I haven't gone shopping in a long time. I haven't even thought about myself in a long time so there for it would be nice to see myself as a brand new person for a chance. Back off

Yeah I know. We were joking about that saying I should cut up all my clothes and just look aweful for awhile.

I think I would be embarassed. I don't like to be the center of attention, it's scary and embarassing to me. So, I think it would not be fun for me to be on that show.

I would be embarrased if this happend to me and schocked since I have been told for years that I have great style, but I would not see this as an oppertunity for others to mock me but as an oppertunity for a free shopping trip on TV.

I definitely wouldn't be embarassed. Most of the people on the show aren't totally ridiculous dressers- many are just kind of plain, or too casual, or just could wear something more flattering. The average person doesn't always know what will look best on them. And a free trip to New York and a $5,000 shopping spree and certianly well worth it. Stacy and Clinton would obviously have to criticize what you wear for the show but they're usually jokey about it and not truly mean.

I would be mortified if my guy wanted to do that to me, yeah I can understand wanting to pamper you but to go on national television to announce you have no style sense and you need someone to come in and redo your clothes, no, I would not appreciate his gesture.

I think your husband wants the best for you. He is trying to make you feel happy and cared for. If he suggests that then try to make it happen by accepting and there is no other man in your life right now than your husband. I wish you good luck in all your activities.

I would love to be nominated. I think I have pretty good fashion sense and know pretty much what I should not wear. But, I think $5000 worth of new clothes is worth a little embarrassment. I would love to have a hairstyle picked especially for me and I would love to have someone show me the best make-up for me and hoe to cover my flaws. Make-up is something that is still really beyond me.
