I went to the post office today to ship an item that I sold on ebay. I used USPS Priority Mail. The small box flat rate that used to be 4.10. Well now it's 4.60. They increased it by 50 cents. The woman at the post office said that they increased everything including the stamps. Add to that eBay and paypal fees... If they keep increasing, there will be less and less people selling and buying online.

Yes you are right and I noticed yesterday that the Stamps here in the UK have gone up to I think that it is stupid prices just to send a letter and then People wonder why so many prefer to send Emails now Of course we can't send Parcels through the Net which is a shame really I guess lol

I think that the USPS should have a cap put on it as far as raising what they can charge. At least for a few years anyway. That would be my solution. Mailing and shipping costs have skyrocketed over the last few years. I used to publish a small tabloid and was semi successful with it but the cost of postage increases amongst other factors caused me to cease publication.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have also read a lot on ebay about people saying they are going to quit if these fees from the post office, paypal and eBay continue to go up. Just yesterday after I shipped my little box, it was an increase of 50 cents. If I shipped 4 of them that's $2 and so on.... I imagine how much these fees are going to affect those people who sell many items a day.

I hear what you are saying. I don't buy stamps regularly in the USA, but I do order things on line and from other places, that have to be shipped from the USA and on which I pay shipping. These postage increases affect us all.

Yes it does affect us all: buyers and sellers.
