I have always wondered why all the Chick-fil-a stores were closed on Sundays. Not like I would want to eat there when I could have some good ol' home cooked meal on Sundays. Can someone give me some insight?

Chic-fil-a was started buy a penticostal minister and they do not believe in working on Sundays. and anyone that joins their franchise must also not open their restaurant on Sundays or they will close their store a revoke their franchise license. I almost opened one in Alabame until I found out about not working on Sundays.

I didn't even know they close on sundays, but I love chick-fil-a I'm a big chicken lover!!! Maybe they're just trying to be different but they are losing a lot of money because people usually like to go out to eat on the weekends, specially on sunday because most people have sundays off.

I wished mcdonalds had the same sympathy when I worked there that summer back in high school! I was all up in that place on sundays smelling like grease and fries...lol. Mcdonalds didn't lose any money though...it's amazing how many people did eat there on Sundays.

Years ago, no one was open on Sundays. It was supposed to be a religious day of rest. I saw the man who started Chick-fil-A on a news show. He still believes people shouldn't work on Sundays. I think it's nice.

When I was at Chick-fil-A in Akron, Ohio, the people were extremely helpful and joyous. Instead of ignoring me when I left, the worker said, "Have blessed day." I thought, wow. That woman was so nice. I will have a blessed day. I even went back to that restaurant later that day. Southern Baptists don't believe in working on Sunday. That is why they are closed for business.
