I need some suggestions please. I have a 1 year old daughter and would like any ideas of things that she could do outside as far as playing. She has a 3 year old sister who is always playing outside. But my 1 year old cant walk good enough yet, usually she crawls everywhere and living in Florida we have a bad fireant problem too. If you have any ideas on good things for a 1 year old to do outside please let me know. thank you :)

Perhaps you could put her outside in her walker, then she could get around outside without having to crawl everywhere - or through an holes. If you have a sandpit, maybe sit in there with her to play so she can still be there but not able to go anywhere she shouldn't. Make sure your other daughter plays with her too - so she'll feel like a part of the action :) My daughter cant go outside, the ground here is just awful, it's hard & i cant get any grass to grow in it :) She's kind of stuck inside for the moment until we sort something out - thank goodness for Nanna's nice back lawn :)

it is wise to make sure that the 3 year old will not feel left behind and unattended. she may feel left out and unloved. this will generate some kind of animosity inside her toward her sister if this is allowed to happen. both children must be made to feel equally loved by their mom.

I dont know if any suggestion i could give you will help since we live in 2 different kind of climates and such but when my son one and my girls were out to play i have slide that is small enough that he could play on without really getting hurt push toys like fake mowers to help teach he to walk better a sand box, or little riding toy or sit and spin toy. I hope something helped Good Luck

For kids who cant walk properly is not safe for them to play outside but they wont listen to us and if they have any elder one they more want to step out with them,no problem take her out with socks, sandles,or with shoes on her legs and even gloves to her hands and make her sit in the stroller, tie tightly to it and make her see her sister how she plays and she defends herself while playing ans at the same time when she get down from stroller ask your elder one to look after bher and please you be there with them, you can make her play catching ball, hitting the flying saucer,or even throwing the ball, like this.

whenever you bring your one year old out, place her in a walker. that way, it will be easy for you to see what she is up to and she cannot just loaf around the ground and place anything in her mouth without noticing it. if you wish to allow her to sit on the ground, be around at all times and see what she is doing at all times. if she wants to walk outside of the walker, you will have to guide her by both hands. hold her hands in yours. it will be exhaustive and tiring but a happy way to be doing.

If you have a playpen that is an easy way to keep your little one off of the ground and he can still play with toys outside. Also, if you have a swingset, get a baby swing~ they love to swing.

Do you have a walker and flat pavement she could walk on? My son is 14 months old and walks pretty well but I get a little paranoid when he's walking outside because I don't want him to fall and hit his head on the pavement or skin his knees. I use to put him in his walker and now he walks outside by himself. He loves it! A kiddie pool is also a good idea or maybe a sandbox. My son likes to "kick" and "throw" a ball around and be chased my me.

Last year when my little one was a year old and I wanted to take her outside what I always did was take a blanket out for her and then I would just put toys from the house on the blanket with her to play with . Not sure if this will help as you have fireants and we never had to worry about this but that is what I used to do with my little one . Best of luck !!

Maybe you should wait untill shes a bit older i think she a bit young at the moment to be playing outside, maybe take her to your local park put her on the swings or something.
