i feel very lucky to have a mom that allowed me to go to concerts every now and then. during my teenage years, some of my friends couldnt enjoy going to concerts because their moms wouldnt allow me. i felt lucky that time because my mom gave her trust to me so i could go to any ocncert i wanted as long as i went home safe and sound. if the venue of the concert was far from the house, i was allowed to sleep over at my bestfriend's house.
ahh, those were good memories. i say memories because i think it has been over 5 years since i last went to a concert. as i grew older, i lost interest in attending concerts and my interest was focused more on school work and other responsibilities.
what about you? when was the last time you went to a concert?

Your lucky, my parents are kinda strict when it comes to these sort of things. I'm an only child, I guess thats why.
But anyway, the last time I went to a concert...its not even an actual concert...its like a mall tour...was from Hale. Love the band. Love Champ. hehe.

I'm lucky to have extremely lenient parents as well; the way they see it, there's nothing they can do to stop me from going to concerts when I want to go. So, they let me go, as long as I tell them beforehand.
The last concert I went to was February 10 (2007) -- Dir en grey at Nokia Theatre. Dir en grey is an extremely popular Japanese rock/heavy metal band and their shows are absolutely wild, filled with disturbing imagery, self-destruction, and an overall intense feeling of emotion. It was surreal, but it was definitely the most violent and painful concert I've been to. Multiple people fainted, and the moshpit even left me almost on the floor at one point. The crowd was basically punks, punk tourists, wannabe punk fangirls (probably from New Jersey), Japanese punks, and goth rockers. While waiting on line, though, my friend and I met the vocalist of Trashlight Vision (Acey Slade) and took a picture with him. He was awesome. After the show, we met some girls and they bought drinks for us. My friend and I crashed at my sister's apartment that night since she lives right near Grand Central (and the show was at Times Square).
Usually on concert nights, I sleep at my best friend's house since her mother (really young) still parties and therefore is out late at night to drive and pick us up. Taking the subway at 1AM doesn't sound like the safest idea to me, and I wouldn't want to take the risk, especially when I'm sweaty and fatigued after a show.

same here, my parents also allow me to go to concerts as long as i inform them earlier, like one or two days earlier or as soon as i bought the tickets. lolz. :)
and just like you, when its already too late and too dangerous to commute for home, i just sleep at my best friend's house. though her mother is not a party girl (lolz), her mom leaves the door open for us so that we wont have a hard time getting in. :)
