He is an alien that came from planet Vegeta or Saiyan planet. But when he land to the earth something happen with his head so he can memorize anything. Then an old man take him to be his family. That man's name is Songohan. The Dragonball story is about the adventure of goku in his life to find the Dragonball and about saving the world. The story is really amazing and the fight is really cool.
