Do you have the "mully-grubs" or "down in the dump" days?

Recently, I seem to get depressed more often. I have found out that if I will repeat, "This is the day that the Lord has made, and I will rejoice in it." this seems to help. Not just saying it once, I have to keep repeating it. I sing the song by that title too sometimes, and that helps. I have also found out that if I praise God and think of my blessings I bounce back pretty quick too. What do you do when a "down in the dumps" feeling or "mully-grubs" time comes to you?

Hi, depression can just be a hormonal fluctuation, just prior to getting your periods or something bad that happened that day. As long as the depression doesn't drag on. You can help yourself by taking Vitamin B forte -a natural vitamin obtained from the Chemist, or St. John's Wort which is another good vitamin. This vitamin outsells antidepressants made by chemical companies in Germany. So, I would recommend it. The other thing, is to be good to yourself when you are having the blues. Take out some time for yourself, have a nice long bath, go to your favourite place, treat yourself to something you enjoy. You deserve it.

Thank you so much for the comments. I did find out that you don't need to take St. John's Wart if you are on birth control meds. I check this out for my daughter. Just a tidbit of info. Thanks for the post.

I usually don't have too many of these type of days. But if I do, I would do it the way you do. I usually also tell myself to quit having a pity party for myself and be glad in it.

Yes, we really have no reason to be down in the dumps because we have way too much to be thankful for. Thanks for the post.

When I am having a down in the dumps kind of a day I keep telling myself that the day has to end. That and like you suggested thinking about everything that I am blessed with does help. Also getting down on the floor and romping with my two boys will usually pull me out of it also.

Yes, I feel depressed a lot. I do much like you do and say a Bible verse over and over or pray. It really does help.

Yes, it really helps. I have found that I need to say them outloud though so I can reaffirm them to myself by hearing myself speak them. Thanks for your response.
