He certainly has some great advice, I think. He doesn't cull anything, he tells it like it is. I was just wondering if you watch it and if you listen and take his advice?

That is a show I like to watch. I think he has good advice. It seems to be on at a bad time for me, so I don't always get to watch it.

It is a really good show. He is very plain spoken. He really does give good advice and so doesn his wife, Robin. Thanks for posting.

I like to watch him on occasion. I used to watch him almost every day. Haven't had the time to over the last few months. Some of his shows are pretty good, others just seem to be hyped up and more about getting good ratings. Overall I like his "get real" attitude and common sense advice. I have taken his advice on some things for myself. I like how he talks about how you can't control anyone but yourself. It's a good reminder not to frustrate myself over other people's actions that I don't have any control over.

You have a great point there. I have a problem with that too about getting frustrated ovee other peoples actions. Thanks for your post.

Sometimes I do. I also like the way he is straight up about everything and he does give great advice. Isn't it sweet when he walks off the stage at the end to meet his wife and then they walk off together? :)

Yes, you don't have any questions on where he stands on matter at all. I love it when he walks up to Robin and they leave the stage together. In Robin's book she made the statement that she is at every show and that says so much for their marriage.

I have to admit I watched him faithfully when his talk show first aired, but I grew tired of him after a while. Now, I only watch intermittently. He does tend to work with some very dysfunctional people and families and it's hard for me to relate to their sometimes abusive lifestyle. I do like his wife very much though and I will watch any show she is on.

Yes, Robin is very good. Her book is great! Yes, a lot of his guests have problems that I can't imagine anyone living with but there again, I guess I have lived a sheltered life. I have seen some shows that he gave some really good advice that I could use too. Thanks for responding.

I love love love Dr. Phil! I think 98% of his advice is spot on, and we've implemented much of his advice in our marriage and parenting.

mamacathie Can't say that I get to watch the show since I work days. But I am sure he does give great advice. And I have heard him speak before and he cuts right through the chase and tells exactly the way it is.

Yes, he is straight forward. It would have been awesome to have been somewhere he was speaking. Thanks for the response.

I watch Dr. Phil, although I don't truly use his advise that much I must say.
