One of the mechanical guys told me that the bearings inside my compressor has to be replaced. Also the condenser has to be replaced with a bigger one. I'm a Honda Civic. Is this really needed whenever your engine shuts off when the aircons is turned on. This is link to my first POSTING about "CAR REPAIRS" hope you can help me. thanks

At what rpm does your car idle with the air conditioner off? It should be 800 to 1000 rpm. The air conditioning pump will slow the rpms done, but if the engine stalls then the air conditioning pump needs repairs. Take care Abbyey.
