I generaly don't bargain if i feel the item is worthy for me and the seller is charging a resonable rates. I perfer to buy branded stuff but i will check for various discount schemes in my town. Last month I visited new delhi the capital of my country india. I was doing window shoping in a market while looking at price tags I was much confussed as the items were not of the quality they were charging for and came back without any purchase then in evening discussed that with my cousin that you told me that there will i find good stuff a resonable rates but the items were rated very high then he told me I forgot to told you that you will have to do a lot of bargaining with the seller usually ther put tags doubled the actual price and they sell it near about its 50 % its there policy. it was diffrent experience for me. what about you ? do you like bargaing i personaly find it irretating to bargain. Please share your views and experiences

Most of the time in stores, there is no room to bargain, the price is what it is. However, if there is a slight stain on the garment or it is abnormal and still usable, I will barter the price with the manager or the sales clerk. Most often they will discount the item a good deal, because they don't want to be stuck with an item that is not able to be sold. Other than that, I don't bother to haggle the price.

You really can bargain the price of items in your country? That sounds like a really great thing to me, since here in the United States everything comes from a store with a set price. I wonder what would happen if I tried to bargain with someone at the mall...
Then again, I have never purchased anything from a street vendor. I think bargaining sounds really good though, because I always like to find sales and clearance items when I'm going shopping. I'm scared I wouldn't be assertive enough to argue with someone over the price though. I would probably back down and let them charge me too much.
