If you met a person coming from the future what would you be more curious about?

Say you met a person coming from the future, 300 years from now. If you had the opportunity to ask only one question, what would that be? I must say that on seeing a person from the future I'd first be very glad that the humanity has survived thus far (given the global warming and the nuclear threats and so on). As for the question I'd ask I really can't decide between two: how's the environment, is it back to the way it once was? (I mean do you still have seasons and still can survive outside unprotected) and the second: have you managed to obtain world peace? :) There is also a third one: do you still use money, inspired by the Star Trek series, but I'm not as curious about this one as about the other two :) How about you? What would your question be?

I like to think a question like "Do you still use gas" will be more appropriate :) :)

Hi krayzee ... yes thats true it's just amercans are having a right old whinge about rising gas prices when they are a fraction of the cost in the UK and I try not to use my car because it costs too much to run. This isn't a gas guzzler either it's just that in the UK you have to sell your offspring to get a tank full!!

Personally, I'd ask if they had gotten off the planet yet, do they have colonies on the other planets in the solar system? Are they headed out into deeper space? That kind of question.

I think my question would be, "Do people in your generation still worship and honor God?.

There's another question whose answer I took for granted (but I may be wrong). :) I tended to think that even in that age there will be people who believe in God and people who don't, just like today. But if we look at how the things were say 100 years ago as opposed to now, I think there can be a lot of changes that 300 years may bring. So yes, I think it would be interesting to ask that question to a man came from the future. :)

I'd want to know about space travel. If the person had visited other planets or galaxies and found life somewhere other than earth. And, if so, what was that life like?

Well, I somehow take for granted that sometime in the future there will be time travel so I'd never think of asking that :P (even though just because I take a thing for granted doesn't make it actually true) Good one about the life on other planets, that would be an interesting thing to know I guess :)

Wow great discussion! If I could ask a person from the future one question I would ask.....What all can you tell me about the new things of the future? That way I can learn about everything that has changed and advance, not ust one thing. I would want to know everything there is to know so I would ask this "cprner cutting" question! :)

My first question would be is the world close to what it is now. Do people live as they do now? In buildings or is there some thing more advanced that people live in? Is transportation the same as we use today? Are people living longer than they do now? How far as medicine advanced? Is there cures for some of the diseases we are fighting now?

I think you hold out too much hope for the future! Certain things will change and certain things will be the same I believe.

Actually, I don't really care what things will be like 300 years from now... I won't be there, and I don't have any progeny. What I'd much prefer is to find out what the winning lottery numbers are a few days in advance. ;o)

That is a very practical point of view :) Thank you for your comment :)
