autoblog.com has reported that a marketing blitz for the actual car that is autobot Jazz in the transformers movie will jump start pretty soon. If you do not know what it looks like yet (the movie is only opening in July), the image below gives a sneak peek. The sleek and sexy Pontiac Solstice GXP is manufactured by GM and it will be the real deal. Imagine all the grown-up transformers fan who has tonnes of spare cash rushing to order one. I would to, if I can afford it. Would you?

Why not? If I have the cash to spare... IT IS a cool looking car to begin with. But being in Singapore, the import taxes, and the additional road taxes and maintenance for this car, one really need to have ADDITIONAL cash to own one. For now, I'd be happy with the toy model of it. Heh heh... wonder if TAKARA is going to come up with a series of toys based on the CGI movie. It would be nice though. Already, there is a comic specially written and drawn for the movie already. If you really want to catch the show before it airs, the movie adaptation prequel is on sale now. The movie adaptation itself should be on the shelves shortly after.

for a continental GM car? You are joking rite? You know the import tax levies for those cars or not? Not to mention, it is a two door coupe... the road tax is already higher for such cars... somemore this car is imported, it would be even higher. Then there is the additional power output of these cars, the insurance premiums is gonna be a killer! Buying the car may be affordable ( to some extent ), maintaining it here is gonna milk your pocket DRY!

I'm not a transformers fan, but most guys i know seem to be! something about more than meeting the eye eh? there's a theory going around that adults who buy toys do so because they can now afford the toys they weren't 'allowed' to buy. i had a small tiny transformer ambulance when young. it can be transformed into some small robot with movable arms and legs. quite cute i guess. but overall not quite into collecting.

Yup, you can say I had a traumatising childhood. Hence, I'm reliving my childhood dreams right now :)

What?!? you dunno transformers?!? they are like THE thing to own when we were kids! Transformers to boys then were like Barbie to girls! Everyone wants to own one! And you are right about guys collecting Transformers toys... Right now, working and with more spending power, we do not need our parent's consent to buy that robot that we are eyeing anymore. We just go out to get it. Over the years, the designs for the transformers robot is getting so good, one cannot help but drool over the newer robots that are on the market today.
