What kind of pet you have ?

I think that the best pets are cats and dogs. Both are very cute, both can help you and make your life better. But is a difference between them. I think it's more easier to have a cat than a dog because the dog needs more space and he needs to go out 2,3 times per day. I have a cat and I love him very much. I have a cocker spaniel and she is so sweet. She loves to be with the owner. She has made us a really good pet. I guess it would depend on if you are home alot and how much time you want to devote to a pet, etc. I would say if you are not going to be home alot, do not get a cocker spaniel. She wants to be with us. She is very loyal to us and if another dog jumps on us, she is barking at it. Cockers are a little high maintenance as far as you have to groom them because of their skirts. I would do alot of research before I got a pet. Also you probably want a smart pet if you are going to keep it inside. My Cocker Spaniel learned to be potty trained really easy also. So I would consider that as well if you are keeping your pet in your house.
