I have had high blood pressure for several years. It is controlled by a daily intake of medication. I started out taking one pill a day for many years. As I got older, the pills grew. I now take 4 addtional pills daily. The next time I visit my doc, I will be asking if it's necessary to take so many pills. I am concerned about toxic poisioning from a mix of meds. I read sometime ago about a lady who died because of this. How about you folks? Are you taking several meds to control high blood pressure?

I have low blood pressure, but my husband suffers of high blood pressure, he is on medication. The tablets he is taking is Coversyl Plus. It has lots of negative effects, he started coughing and is going on Monday to get it changed. It has also effected his libido! lol!

I've never heard of that particular medication. I know there are a lot of blood pressure meds that can be prescribed. My husband takes medication for high blood pressure (norvasc, felodipine & something else that's slipped my brain) but it hasn't affected his libido!! It's my libido that's been affected due to my cancer challenge and some of my blood pressure meds. I'm hopeful this problem will be resolved once I'm all reconstructed.lol! I hope by changing your hubby's medication, his libido will be uneffected.
