What's the *Cheapest* you've ever paid for gas?

I don't remember the exact amount per gallon, nor do I have the foggiest idea how many gallons my '78 Le Mans' gas tank held, but $20 a week is what I was paying in gas in '90. It got me into the next town to work and back 5 days a week, plus errands and cruising. Man, except for the piece of crap boyfriend I had then, life was pretty sweet, lol.

The least I remember paying was .85 cents a gallon. That was high at the time. I can't believe how much the prices have gone up in so short a time. You would think that as consumers we would use less, but it seems we use more. I know that our weekend getaways will not be happening as much as they did in past years.

Well last summer they did this Dollar day thing here. You could get gas for a Dollar a gallon!! Oh man we filled everything we could find!!! I doubt that will ever happen again. My dad said that when he was younger he could get gas for 50 cents a gallon. But that was back in the 50's. Now we pay almost 3.00$ a gallon.

When I got my license in 1986 I was paying $1.479 per gallon in Michigan and that same year I was in California I paid $1.529 per gallon, it is too bad the price has jumped so much since then.

When I got my license (*coughs*) sixteen years ago, it was $.89 per gallon. I miss being able to ride for a week on $10.
