Many users are subscribed on DA and some even for many years! whats the overall advantage of being a subscriber except the CSS and all other stuff! It doesnt increase the pageviews (adcast do it!), it doesnt help you with selling your deviations! so why do people do it? any subscriber or tried anytime? am thinking to try it! should i or should not?

I have been a subscriber for a while and I don't think I would want to be without my subscription. I guess I am used to all the bonuses it offers. When I first subscribed, I did it because the search function wasn't working properly and only subscribers were able to search. It was like this for months, and I was tired of not being able to find any deviations I wanted to look at. Subscribers also get to see all their full comments in their message box and see thumbnails of all the deviations before they look at them in their deviant alert area. I also get to see who has visited my page and at what time, and have a list of my friends below my journal. I guess subscribers don't get that many extra features, but it is not that expensive, and checking messages is very annoying without the subscription.

You can ask people for critiques and submit polls... I think it is just to make their dA page more attractive so that more people will be willing to visit... and also because when people have a * or a = in front of their names, it attracts other people's attention and they'll be more likely to visit their page

it's just some enhancing script, so pretty much worthless. being subscribed doesn't make you famous. neither "cool"...
