how old is your grandma?

my grandma is 81 years old. 6 years ago she had a stroke. the sroke changed her a lot, she became like a 8 year old child. she needs someone to bathe her, and do everything for her, and every 30 minutes, she asks for food, though she has already had a plate, and everyday she always asks where my auntie is, eventhough my auntie is beside her, she's really becoming like a child. i think all she wants is people's (family esp my auntie) attention. i think the words that said 'when we're growing old, we're becoming to be like a child' is true.
once my auntie bought some mangoes home, and i asked her whether she wanted to eat or not, she asked me where i got the mango. i told (jokingly) her i stole it from neighbour's mango tree, then after that she always asks me to steal another one, cute huh? :D

I am lucky enough to still have both my grand mothers with me and I am 23. My mom's mom is 71 and my dad's mom is 77.

My grandmother just turned 75. She looks really good for her age and still is doing good. She still lives in the house that my mom grew up in. She is the only grandparent that I have left.

my husbands great grandmother is still alive, she will be 106 this november. she lived alone till she was 103 then she moved into a nursing home because she was falling. she is in the assisted living section, so she still can take care of herself, she just needs a little help.

My grandmother passed away last year. She was 100 years old. She lived alone in her own apartment until she was 97. Your grandma sounds very sweet. I used to love to listen to my grandparents stories about when they were young.

i feel sorry for you too.. yeah she's sweet sometimes, but when she's not in the mood, she will be cursing you said that she will beat you coz you're not polite to her :D
my grandma also loves to tell story when she's young, and i love to hear the story and tease her :D

LOL you did that to your grandma? that's mean.....
well i don't know exactly how old my grand ma... because i never lived so long with her. we meet just a couple times in a year.. sometimes she came to drop by or sometimes she doing her check up. we never have communicate each other.
the only thing i know is my grandma likes shopping esp the kitchen things. u get her in the mall, she doing nothing, but when u got her in food hall, market, geee she looks exciting.. n always take a loooong time to bring her home :)

hahaha... do you think it's mean? but after the mango event, everytime she wants to eat mangoe, she'll find me and ask me to steal some from the neighbor's :D geee... she's like a lil' kid

my grandma is 89 and going strong she is doing great not child like at all i am sorry to hear about your grandma i think the child like thing comes from health problems it is not always like that the mango thing is cute it is good to keep a sense of humor

yeah, that's true, it's all coz of the stroke. you're lucky that your grandma is still in a good condition :D
