In the category of 'make extra money' do you see myLot as a way to attract other people to another business venture of yours, thereby gaining other affiliate marketers and multiplying your chances of earning extra income, or do you believe the most important thing is to try to get referrals to earn extra income on myLot?

I see myLot as not only a way to network with other marketers, but also as a way to indirectly learn and teach about marketing as well as get to know the "real" deal about people from other cultures (as it turns out, we really aren't so different). I have 5 referrals for myLot (I know, wootie-woo), not a one of them is active, and I still get paid here. Sure you can make more by having an active downline, but I don't think that is the most important thing about myLot, at least it isn't for me. Sure, I'm still promoting myLot, but it's not all about the pay for me here.

My presence on myLot is for connections, so I have not concentrated on referrals, obviously, since I have none. If you have a personal or ecommerce website, it seems that they should be connected by links, both ways, to increase search engine ratings and the link on your page could promote myLot referrals from those who came to your page another way.

the thing about mylot is it takes a lot of work to earn any extra income, and it seems that most people that sign up ending not doing it because it's work - well, it's work if your'e in it for the money. If you're here for fun/lead referrals/chatting, etc. then it's not work. But if most people you refer join with the premise of making money, they'll be disappointed and leave, and you really won't make anything. 25% sounds like a lot, but I've been on here about 3 months and I'm almost to 6 bux. So my referrer has made about 1.50 in three months from me. Now if you've got 10000 referrals that are all at least a little active, that's a different story.

Sounds like the MLM theory. It should, and I believe MLM would work with the right product, prices and structure. I think many Internet marketers are missing the boat, especially in information marketing, not to at least have two-tiers in their pay structure. I do enjoy myLot, though.

We can use myalot to find referrals for our other online businesses, so that we can increase the income from those sites. At the same time we can introduce new referrals to myLot with a view of increasing our income here. Anyway I have only one referral here, who joined six weeks back and so far he has made only one posting. There is no benefit in having such referrals.

I see MyLot as a combination of both. I can see someone earning a nice little check if they put in a lot of time and also have a system in place to get active referrals. But I also place great value on the fact that one can customize their profile page and have links to their websites and offers. It is a great place to find referrals.

Basically I see it more as a platform for exchanging information. Sometimes, if someone has some useful information which can genuinely benefit others, it should be shared. If a business venture is good, I don't see any harm in discussing it with others. But one should not think very narrowly only about expanding one's business venture. I try to add whatever little I know about any topic under discussion. I also want to read what others are saying and if I can learn anything new.

I don't know the answer to that question as I am fairly new. Also, don't quite know the rules about posting something we are involved in. And what does it mean to have "friends"? As other people know more I will come back later and maybe find out what I am really doing here! Changing Lives Forever

Thank you. Your explanation will help me focus on the direction I need to follow. I also am interested in making money utilizing the internet. MyLot was not on my radar and I still don't know how I got here! What business are you currently involved with? With mine, I just give it away as there are no sign-up fees or monthly fees. This can become addictive which is certainly out of character for me. Good luck in your endeavors.
