Put-in-Bay is on South Bass Island, in Lake Erie, north of Port Clinton, Ohio. It is a very popular resort. Have you ever been there?

I havent ever been there, but I have heard about it before. We are moving to Ohio on June first. We wont be far from Lake Erie. I am from Michigan so I love the Great Lakes especially Lake Superior which is a beautiful body of water.

Lake Erie isn't such a beautiful lake, but it does provide a major source of recreation for northern Ohio and the Detroit area of Michigan. Lake Erie is a shallow lake, especially compared to Lake Superior, and therefore gets choppy very quickly with a little wind, and it is dirtier than is desirable. They have cleaned up the really bad pollution that contaminated the lake about 40 years, though.

No, I have not been to that side of the state before, but I will keep that in mind just in case I'll visit there someday.

Yes I have been there. Matter of fact we always were up in that area each summer for church conference at Lakeside. One winter day I read a kids mystery and it was based on Put-in-Bay. For vacation that year we decided to follow the clues in the book as it took us all over Put-in-Bay. It was fun and different. Many people asked what we were doing as we searched around different buildings to find the clues in the book. We were able to show people things that they had never noticed before even though they lived and worked there.
