Do you ever miss the mom and pop stores where you didn't have to walk a mile in one store to find something? I find at times I miss the personal service too. Though sometimes the products were a bit more expensive, you got attention, and quality products.

If I am shopping just for one or two items I use my local IGA store. You always see the same polite employees every time you enter. They even refer to you by name. I find that to be a very pleasing experience. But if I have am doing some major shopping then I go to my local Wal-Mart supercenter. Now, I do have to admit that there are a number of employees there that recognize me as well but it isn't as friendly.

Totally agree. They aren't quite as friendly maybe because they have lines of people waiting behind you. I just got back from my walmart. I hardly go there and it takes me a couple of days to build myself up to go. Just too many people, too much stuff and I find many times I buy things on sale that I normally wouldn't if I were in a smaller store. My own fault though....can't pass up a bargain.
