I do love to use tanning beds. I know that I shouldn't, but I feel a lot better when I do. I find the warmth from tanning to help my fibromyalgia pain a great deal. I also look better and healthier when I have a little bit of color.

it is so relaxing in the tanning bed..though I too know it isn't good for you..seems I sleep better after I do the tanning bed route! in the summer time I wear shorts and I do like a little color on my legs...my husband likes me with more tan..but I don't want to look like a prune either..I have a friend that is very very white..and she is so beautiful..her skin has never seen the sun..makes me feel bad sometimes..

I like the way I do tan, naturally very s-l=o-w-l-y. Besides I am no longer young and the cost would be much too much. The weather is hot here in summer. Although if I could get a tan that would disguise those dark hairs on my legs, it would be wonderful. Why is it when you have fair skin and dark hair, that your hair goes white on your head but the hairs on your legs stay dark? It is just unfair!

haha..I know..my legs have those little black hairs also..I have to shave so much..sometimes it seems I shave my tan away..but a tan looks so much better then my pale legs with the little black hairs!!..:)

Like you I also have a tanning bed in my house. But here lately I have been going out side and soaking up the natural sun. I mainly use my tanning bed in the winter time when it is way too cold outside to layout. I have also been told that if you put lotion on before and after tanning that it helps prevent the leathery dried out look. I put lotion on about 3 times a day including before and after I tan. It keeps my skin moist and soft.

A friend of mine used to tan constantly. Her mother-in-law owned a tanning salon so she went for free whenever she wanted. Now she looks REALLY old, at least 10 years older than she really is, and her skin is leathery. I don't tan ever because it causes premature aging. I hope to never look my real age!

Well at least you can cover up most of your body, but if you damage your face, forget it! Like my friend. She looks like an alligator! I know what you mean about pale skin. My sister is so pale she glows in the dark! lol I was lucky. My skin has a bit of tint to it, so I don't look too horrible.

the tanning bed is so bad for that..it is a horrible habit..but if you seen my legs with no tan at all..you would have to wear sun glasses.. but you are right about the aging..i've seen it time and time again..I try not to get but only a tad on my face..

hi... im curious about the tanning beds, can you tell me more about the product. I read that tanning beds can also be harmful for the skin and can cause skin cancer because of its UVB rays. well if you really want to keep a natural tan, after tanning your self (sunlight/ tanning bed)to maintain it, use brewed coffee and virgin coconut oil mix virgin coconut oil and freshly grind brewed coffee massage it to your arms, legs and tummy (everywhere). it is also an effective and natural way to get rid of sag and cellulites.

you just gave an excellent recipe for cellulite..I wrote it down..thanks.. tanning beds are suppose to be more gentle then the natural sun..but actually it is worse..20 minutes in the tanning bed is like 3 hours in the sun..
