One thing is to be there for your child, babies crave for love and attention form their parents, it is the one thing that gives them the will to live. They will always have those memories in their hearts and wil give that love back to you as they grow older. Of course they is the feeding and the diaper changing but that the easy part.

If you are just becoming a father for the first time, the biggest change will be your schedule. We had waited for 5 years after marriage to have a baby, so I thought I was ready. However, I wasn't prepared for the changes it would make in our schedule. All of a sudden everything revolves around the little one's meals, sleep time, and whether or not he or she can eat or sleep away from home. It seems like I should have realized it, but I just hadn't thought about how much of a change it would make. And when you travel somewhere overnight, you have to pack half the house so you have everything you need. But don't fret, it is well worth it all. Our son is now grown and has two sons of his own. Our grandchildren are 4 and 2, and both our son and the two grandsons are the greatest blessing in our lives. Just be prepared for the schedule changes.

Well there is not much to expect with your first baby only that you must share with your wife the task of taking care of your first baby. You must learn how to make diapers, how to sing a lullaby and making your baby go to sleep in case mommy is not around, you also must know how to prepare formula milk for your baby just that because you must be able to do this as back-up for mommy. God bless and congratulations.
