Which is the best processor? AMD or Intel

My first Pc is Pentium III (intel). It works fine, but never tried the core 2 duo processor, I hope it work fine too.

at the moment intel has a big market but amd is catching up

I think Intel is better, as my dad said so:) If I will have a new computer, he will need it with Intel.

I have intel in my machine for seven years and it works fine. My friends who bought AMD for the capacity and because it was cheaper usually were excited at first and they do not have their computer any more, it broke fast. They have another AMD. So in the time where I have one Intel inside they have two AMD. I would buy another Intel because I am very satisfied.
