It is easy to love. Especially when we are talking about parents and children. What parent doesn't feel that they love their children "no matter what"? And chances are, that's how your kids feel about you too. But liking each other? That takes a little more effort, a little more luck, a little more time learning about one another.

The question lies like this " Do you want to be liked than loved?", I'd rather be loved than liked. When we love someone, maybe we also love his/her imperfections, that's the wonder of love. Imperfect children should be thankful to their parents that inspite of their disliking, they are still behind you.
