Can you believe that diapers have chlorine in them just to make them white??? Does anyone realize what that can do to a baby? Many rashes are caused by the chemicals that are in the diapers. It just amazes me what these companies will allow in things meant for a new baby. Kind of scary. There are other crazy chemicals in diapers as well. I dont know about you..but I dont want my kids exposed to all these unnatural things, especially so early in life. do any of you use either cloth diapers or diapers that are chemcial free such as seventh generation or gdiapers? what made you make a safe change in diapers?? how do you like using cloth or seventh generation or gdiapers?? i personally use seventh generation. i just dont have the time or patience for cloth, i wish i did. but with 4 kids, college, a house to constantly clean, work, and all the errands and running around i do in a day, i just couldnt do the cloth. i wanted to use the gdiapers but they dont sell them anywhere near me so it wouldve been such a hassel in itself. just wondering what others use.

I have heard about this before, I also read a article that the diaper may have relation with man's apogeny, since it may impact man's testis. But it is not really wide accepted. It is better to expose baby when they do not want to pipi. But this is hard to manager, and will make parents much busier. It is hard to decide what we should do.

also from the same site above In May 2000, the Archives of Disease in Childhood published research showing that scrotal temperature is increased in boys wearing disposable diapers, and that prolonged use of disposable diapers will blunt or completely abolish the physiological testicular cooling mechanism important for normal spermatogenesis http://www.realdiaperassociation.org/diaperfacts.php

Here's what else they (most disposables) have in them. Disposable diapers contain traces of Dioxin, an extremely toxic by-product of the paper-bleaching process. It is a carcinogenic chemical, listed by the EPA as the most toxic of all cancer-linked chemicals. It is banned in most countries, but not the U.S..1 Disposable diapers contain Tributyl-tin (TBT) - a toxic pollutant known to cause hormonal problems in humans and animals.2 Disposable diapers contain sodium polyacrylate, a type of super absorbent polymer (SAP), which becomes a gel-like substance when wet. A similar substance had been used in super-absorbancy tampons until the early 1980s when it was revealed that the material increased the risk of toxic shock syndrome.3 http://www.realdiaperassociation.org/diaperfacts.php We use cloth diapers for many reasons, preventing from all this touching my sons skin is just one of them ;)

that's kind of scary. especially if rashes are caused by that or if the baby has an open sore rash and those chemicals are going right into it. that's awful.
