Lack of Maturity in the New Generation

College Students Graduating - Do you know a college or high school student that is graduating? Do they have a good head on their shoulders or are they very immature?

I am sure you know someone who is graduating from high school or college. These graduates will be the back bone of America's future. Their opinions in due course will shape the destiny of America. Their opinions though for the most part are based not on facts but in a knee jerk emotional thought process. Sometime back I posted a discussion www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1037919.aspx . In that discussion I asked the question why does everyone hate President Bush, and all I wanted was a valid reason. Now I can come up with valid reasons against and for him. However one young person (probably a college student) wrote that he was incompetent. Incompetenecy isn't valid. I followed up on their post by writing that they hadn't given a valid reason, but a knee jerk emotional one. They shot back at me by calling me immature. Now that is odd. I have worked more days than half of what they have been alive and my husband probably pays more taxes than they do, and I am immature. I know a lot of young people who can't handle the dating world, and they expect us to give their political opinions any credit. I'm sorry. I would like for them to come back to me when they have actually lived in the "real world" and have paid real taxes. God save us all if these are our future leaders.
