What's the worst insult you've ever heard?

We've all been insulted at some point or another. What's the worst thing someone's ever said to you? The one thing that you can't get rid of, no matter how hard you try. The echo in your head every time you try to do something that reminds you of this insult. Was it a family member or friend that said this to you? Or a complete stranger? Did it make you mad? Or make you want to get even? What would an appropriate reaction be to someone who's just insulted you?

My husband once told me that I couldn't even breathe right. That's one of the reasons why he became my ex-husband after almost 7 years of waiting on him hand and foot. You can bet it made me ANGRY (someone in myLot said only dogs get MAD). My reaction was just to walk away, which I thought was appropriate. I might add that I've been married to my second husband for almost 29 years now, and my ex is married to his 4th or 5th wife. I guess he had trouble finding someone who could breathe right. LOL.

Haha! That's awesome. And congrats on your marriage! With that success, it seems more like a blessing than an insult! =P

I like what happened to your husband. The results of his future was planned from how he has treated you so far! Bad for him!

What other people have to say does not matter to me one bit. It goes in from one year and out of the other. What echoes in my head is when I am really stupid and say something that makes a fool out of me. I can never get that out of my head, even years later I keep remembering it.

Same here... for the second part. Lol. Insults stick in my head for some reason. Maybe I don't care about what they've said, but if I've been insulted in the way I throw a ball (for instance), the next time I throw a ball, I'm very self-conscience of how I do it. ;/

Infact, I experience a lots of insult in my life that I can not even understand. The most insult I heard in my life, IF you get biro to write it there is no way I can finish the book, becouse, the more you give me, the more I will write, is just like uncountable. Infact I experience a lots of worst insult that is unbearable.

I'm sorry to hear that! You just remember. We are all created the way we were meant to be! We can be and do anything we want. And no one can hurt you without your permission! ;]

I think the worst insult I've heard was when somebody cursed my mother right in front of me. Yes, I wanted to get even. But still I had respect for the person so I didn't make it a point to get back. The person already did wrong, so I should never follow. I put worse things into God's hands for guidance and assurance.

Awesome answer! I was hoping someone would go this route. Leaving things in God's hands is the best way! But, I do have to agree. I want to get even. ALOT. Lol. Even though I know I shouldn't. It's hard to do sometimes. Most times my temper and quick mouth go faster than my brain and common sense. =P

Hi. Ambur25. I think the worst insult that anyone has ever told me was this woman at church. She told me that it is a shame to have all of my kids and none of them look like me, but only the father. This really had upset me very much because I recently has my baby. Since this time, I have been absent from this church for a very long time now. Another time, I told my aunt that my other aunt told me that I looked like her. And this aunt told me that, no I did not, I looked like her mom's sister or aunt. She got mad because my other aunt thought that I looked like her. Everyone says that they don't know why she has gotten mad at me because, I am a very pretty young girl. So, I wonder why she does not like a complement like this that was made? Strange auntie, I tell you.
