Can someone tell me what the number in the star means next to your photo?

The star is your rating given to you by your fellow mylotters. If you look closely, you will see boxes to give a + or - rating or a ! to report for spam. If others rate you postive(+) then you will have a high number, just as if others rate you low(-) you will have a low number. The number in your star goes as high as 10. I am not quite sure on how low the number in you star can go, I have seen a 3. The colors correspond with the number. I know a yellow is an 8, a red is a 9, and a blue is a 10. I am not sure of all the other numbers as to what color they are. Also, if you point your cursor on the star, you can determine yours, or anyone elses actual rating. It will state your number out of 100. I hope all this has helped.

It's a rating indicator, the color doesn't really mean anything although the number is a rating on a scale of 10.
