How about this? Take a piece of black posterboard. Draw and cut out whatever number of ghosts you want. Make them large enough to have #s on them. Make a deck of # cards -- using either dots or numbers, or get one of those huge dice. Make little game pieces by putting a paperclip in a small chunk of playdoh. Let the clay harden, then insert a small Halloween picture cut from a magazine or catalog. The children will then draw a card and move their game piece the correct number of spaces. At the end of the numbered ghosts put a big word BOO so that the first child to get there can shout it out to announce that they've won.

Halloween checkers! Create an orange and black checkerboard and use round pieces of plastic lids with halloween stickers of ghosts and goblins ect. for checkers! You can find most of this stuff at a dollar store or go to an art supply store, they'll be happy to help you with this fun project.

So, try and invent a mission-board-game. it's not very difficult :).

How about a Halloween themed bingo game or even a pin the top on the pumpkin (broom on the witch) game. I used to teach pre-schoolers and these were a couple of the things that we'd do. HTH!! : )
