I read fairly often and like a variety of different authors and genres. Currently I am reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, I've only read one of his other books. I am looking forward to the next Harry Potter book, yes I'm 33 and I read them for my pleasure and not my kids, although I don't like that it's the last one. Other authors I enjoy are Chuck Palahniuk, I have two books, Choke and Fight Club, on my night stand waiting to be read, along with the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, Slaughterhouse Five, by Kurt Vonnegut and Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. So yeah my night stand is full of books, i need to get reading! I own a lot of Jonathan Kellerman books, I like some of James Patterson's books and Michael Crichton. Lastly I've been reading the Wheel of Time series for the past 10 years, I like Robert Jordan, I like the books, although some were more enjoyable then others, but man, finish the series or at least start wrapping a few of the storylines up! Whenever I hear a new one is coming out i have to go back and reread the last couple of books to remember what is going on. So, who is your favorite author and feel free to recommend some books, I can always use more!

V.C. Andrews is my favorite. She has a way of twisting things until the very end of the book. I enjoy that

Hm, I like James Patterson and Johnathan Kellerman. Then just random stuff. I like checking out the best seller list at the library and I will usually give someone on their list a try even if I don't know who they are.

I am currently hooked on the Darren Shan books; he wrote Cirque Du Freak when he was a teen and the series was awesome. It is classified as teen fiction but the Demonata series is a lot thicker and stronger than Cirque. I recommend both of the for teens and adults that are into darker reads. This isn't Pulitzer Prize material but they were so good I was going through a book a day when I got the Cirque series.

Definitely T.C. Boyle - he's a great writer - books from him are Talk Talk and A Friend of the Earth and Tortilla Curtain - absolutely love him - his books are never boring and they are really modern...nothing old or boring...

I like reading books too most especially, motivational and inspirational books. I like a book called "Conquerring an enemy called average" a book written by John Mason and I also like a book called "7 keys to 1,000 times more" a book written by Mike Murdock and do many of them. I like reading books (positive ones) that will improve my way of thinking and the way I look at things and they get me more encouraged to work harder in life in order to be a great man in the future. Thanks and have a nice day.

My favorite author is Neil Gaiman, and I would recommend "Neverwhere" as the best of his novels to start with. Really, though, anything by him is great! I've read a lot of Stephen King over the years, but I haven't read much of his recent stuff. I just can't get into it as much as I used to!

Tolkien is my favorite author, but seeing as to what you've already read I'm pretty sure you've read his books already as well.

Indeed I have read his books, they are very good and really the standard setter to which current fantasy fiction is compared.

I have been a Stephen King fan since my highschool days. I also enjoy James Patterson and Michael Crichton. I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books. My daughter thinks it blasphemous of me to have not read Harry Potter. Robin Cook is another author that I used to read a lot of, especially his books that had any type of medical setting/theme.

I only read a few genres, but it is still hard to pick a favourite author. I currently enjoy reading Peter F Hamilton and Iain M Banks. Both are science fiction authors (Iain M Banks writes mainstream fiction under the name Iain Banks -- no initial). My favourite fantasy author is George R R Martin (and Tolkien of course). And my favourite espionage/spy author is John LeCarre.
