Have you read this book? Or any of Gregory Maguire's books? I think that they are so refreshing to read. I try to stick to the classics, but all of Maguire's backwards fairy tales I have read, I have enjoyed immensely. Can you think of any other "fairy tales" that could be told interestingly from the villian's point of view?

Whatever you do stay away from Lost. Its the only book by Maguire I have read and it was very hard book to read and not all that interesting. It turned me off from reading his other novels.

oh no, that's too bad because I've liked everything else, but I haven't read that one.

I belong to a book of the Month club, and no one in the club liked it. So I would pass on that one if I were you.

I've read Wicked. I thought it was wonderful. I also read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, but I liked Wicked better. Have you read the sequal? It's just as good. Also, the musical is great, even though it is in no way like the book. As far as other fairy tales, Rumplestiltskin (spelling?) would be interesting from another point of view.

Wicked was the book that got me started on the series. It was fantastic because it was such a departure from the kind of books I usually read. I read Son of a Witch and I was a little disapointed by it. I thought that Son of a Witch would be more like Wicked, but it wasn't terrible, to me, it was just okay. I haven't seen the musical Wicked but I'm sure it would be great. I think that Alice in Wonderland would be interesting from another charcter's point of view, like the Chersire Cat or the Mad Hatter.
