Little Girls and Skimpy Clothes

I was shopping for some undies for my 3yo daughter and they had a package of THONGS in the same area/display. What the heck do young girls need thongs for???? Is this just promoting pedophilia??? WHY would ANY parent even THINK of buying thongs for their young gils? It is just wrong

skimpy clothes meaning things no 7,8 or even 12yo girl should be wearing...things like short shorts, low cut shirts, thongs, low rise jeans....

I would never ever! Buy a thong for my Daughter. I am not saying she could NEVER have one but, Not until later in life. And I will teach her how tacky it is to walk around with it hanging out of your pants! Yuck, Every time I see this I think I will vomit! Drives me nuts, some 14 year old with her underwear hanging out of her butt! Crazy, But yes I agree there is NO reason for this!

no they are not wrong for older teenagers..i think 14 is even too young..i didnt even buy my first one until i was in college...and yeah them hanging out is tacky...its like saying" look im trashy"

I've seen the kids' thongs... it makes me sick. I was walking through the store the other day to get some things for my 11-month-old, and I walked past the girls' clothing section, and I was disgusted by what I saw. Belly shirts? Halter tops? Low-rise jeans, short shorts? No way my daughter will dress like that when she's that age. I don't dress like that, no self-respecting woman I know dresses like that, and she won't either. I'll make her clothes if I have to. I don't want my daughter to learn that her body is good for nothing but eye candy -- I want her to respect herself enough to know that looking sexy is not the way to get ahead in life.

i'm a guy and no not a pedophile...hmmm, i understand your rant and although this is an old post, i've noticed that too as i was walking through a target. its quite appalling and ludicrous, they are not a target market so it doesn't make sense! meh...capitalist america...not everything makes sense.
